Frequently Asked

Questions

Are you a licensed builder?
Yes — NSW Builder Licence 345758C, licensed under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW). ABN 58 940 419 109.
What areas do you service?
Across the Northern Rivers — Tweed Shire, Byron Shire, Ballina Shire, Lismore City, Richmond Valley, Kyogle and Clarence Valley. Anchor service areas include Byron Bay, Ballina, Lennox Head, Kingscliff, Tweed Heads, Lismore and Yamba.
How do quotes work?
We use fixed-price contracts wherever the scope is well-defined, with itemised costs so you can see what each part of the build is paying for. For genuine unknowns (typically inside walls of older homes), we use transparent provisional sums.
Do you have home-warranty insurance?
Statutory home-warranty cover applies to residential work over the regulated threshold and we comply with it. Specific insurer details are confirmed in the contract.
How long does a typical project take?
Indicative timelines: bathroom reno 4–6 weeks; kitchen reno 4–10 weeks depending on layout changes; ground-floor extension 4–6 months; second-storey addition 5–8 months; new home build 8–14 months. Every quote includes a programmed completion date.
Do you work on flood-affected properties?
Yes. The 2022 floods reshaped how Northern Rivers homes are built. We work with raised-floor designs, flood-resilient material selection, and council floor-level controls. Affected sites get a specific design response, not a generic uplift.
Will you work with my architect or designer?
Yes — most of our custom-home and renovation work is on third-party-designed plans. We're also happy to recommend designers and architects we've worked with before.
Are you HIA or MBA members?
Membership details are confirmed on request.
